Words failed U.S. Marine Pvt. Skylar Martin when expressing how honored he felt to have his grandfather, James Pike, 94, a World War II Marine veteran at his graduation. Pike, who was given weeks to live surprised his grandson thanks to the non-profits Honor Flight of Southern Indiana and Honor Flight Savannah. Watching his grandson graduate from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island meant more to Pvt. Martin than Pike will ever know.
