After Emory Reynolds “Butch” Moreland Jr. served a tour in Vietnam in 1969, he suffered from PTSD and both forms of Malaria. In June of 2015 Moreland was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and in August of this year he was told he was terminal. Due to the hard work of many of the KY Department of Veterans Affairs and elected officials he participated in the last Honor Flight of 2015.
