76-year-old Theresa Teehan has attended every one of her son, Air Force Colonel Russell Teehan’s graduations and promotions in the last twenty years. When she heard her son was to receive a promotion on the Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she knew she had to be there. There is one problem though, Theresa lives in Massachusetts and has received doctor’s orders not to travel due to the severity of her pancreatic cancer. But she pushed, not only to make it to see this day but also to be able to watch her son’s ceremony.
