Simon Brown, 38, is a veteran soldier who was blinded after he was shot in the face by an Iraqi sniper in 2006.
After being shot in the face Simon face was shattered and he had to undergo over twenty surgeries to reconstruct his face.
Simon sits down with five-year-old Temperance Pattinson who did a fund raising triathlon with Help for Heroes for wounded service members. Simon tells Temperance she’s a hero too and explains that“It’s because of the challenges you do, and the money you raise and the support you give, that people like me can get better.”
Of the nearly 66,000 military veterans, Simon is just one with life-changing injuries and illnesses in need of support.
