A Virginia teacher turned Soldier was surprised to receive a special honor from his school before deploying to Kuwait. The students and faculty at Lincoln Terrace Elementary school gives their fifth grade teach a proper send off before he heads out to fight for our country. US Army Reserves Corporal Kirby Hamilton told WDBJ7 that the school was his second family and though he’ll miss them and hopes to come back when he returns in February 2018.
