Army Soldier, Keaton Tilson surprised his family over Memorial Day weekend, but it wasn’t easy to make that happen. After spending two days at the airport on standby a Josh Rainey overheard his situation and offered his own ticket to Keaton. But when he learned that the airline’s policy wouldn’t allow them the exchange, Josh paid more than $370 for the young soldier to get home.
Keaton’s mom says he had just got permission for time off the night before. “He missed a couple of flights because they were full,” she added. “He called back a few minutes later all choked up and said, ‘Somebody just bought my ticket.’”
