Grace, a member of the Hawkeye Marching Band, was shocked when her boyfriend, Second Lieutenant Isaac, came home from officer training and surprised her at Saturday’s football game. Her life changed when he got down on one knee and proposed. Isaac had been the University of Iowa’s drum major for three years and is currently stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. Both their parents also met in band.
