While on duty during his third tour in Iraq and Afghanistan, Staff Sergeant Brian Sawlsville’s truck was blow fifteen feet in the air by a IED. Even though the explosion threw him from the vehicle and fractured his skull, SSgt. Sawlsville proceeded to take on the enemy. Paralyzed from the waist down for the last ten years, he never thought that he be able to walk again and now thanks to “Rewalk” he’s hoping to be able to walk a 5k in the distant future.
