An Army staff sergeant surprised his son at a New York Rangers game on Wednesday, sending the crowd wild.
Luke Buck, a 10-year-old Rangers fan, was attending the Rangers vs. Capitals game when he was “chosen” to participate in a movie-naming contest against Rangers defense-man Adam Fox.
Beating Fox quite handily, Buck was awarded a Rangers Jersey- by none other than his father, Staff Sergeant Ian Buck of the 10th Mountain Division, who had just spent a year in Afghanistan.
Rushing down the stairs, Buck embraced his son and broke down.
According to NHL, the crowd began cheering and the players banged their sticks on the ice to celebrate the reunion.
