Returning from a 10-month deployment in East Africa, Petty Officer 3rd Class Nicole Leroux couldn’t wait to see her daughter, Valon. PO3 Leroux told her seven-year-old that she wouldn’t be home until the next week. The day both Leroux and her little girl spent so long dreaming finally came true when she showed up during lunch, prompting Valon to cry out for her ‘mommy!’
