A South Carolina couple’s awe-inspiring wedding picture during the once-in-a-lifetime eclipse will take your breath away.
Terran Travis and Lexi Greenleaf got married on Monday in Charleston, during the total solar eclipse that drew cheers from crowds nationwide, even for those who weren’t in the path of totality that brought complete darkness.
But South Carolina was in the path of totality. And even though clouds got in the way of some Eclipse viewers statewide — especially in the Lowcountry — Mother Nature cooperated with the view at the couple’s wedding venue.
Nicholas Gore, the photographer who captured the gorgeous picture, said “it was absolutely insane,” in a post on Facebook.
“Not only was this one of the best weddings I’ve ever photographed at one of the most beautiful new venues I’ve seen, but it all happened with a backdrop of the most amazing natural phenomenon I’ve ever seen,” Gore wrote in the post.
Greenleaf told WCNC in Charleston that her father once joked about getting married under the eclipse. But it wasn’t until she met her husband-to-be that she started giving it thought.
She told WCNC that her groom, who is “a bit of a nerd,” got excited over the idea, leading to the once-in-a-life time, drop-the-mic picture.
