That changed for some kids in Oregon. Their Mother, Army Reserve Staff Sgt. Joana Carroll surprised them on Monday during an assembly at Brush College Elementary School in Salem, Oregon.
Staff Sgt. Carroll has been deployed the past 11 months to Afghanistan.
