“Our son, Corporal Logan French and his wife and baby are stationed in Camp Pendleton, California. I had been having a rough year and really needed my family with me during the holidays. Our daughter-in-law suggested to our son, Logan, that maybe they could come visit us. They contacted my husband, Phil French and kept the whole thing secret from me. My husband, Phil showed up shortly after I clocked in and told me he forgot to give me something before I left for work. He held out a 10-dollar bill and told me I had to say ‘Semper Fi’ before I could have it. I quickly smiled and said ‘Semper Fi’! My husband then told me to say “it to him (pointing behind him) and not me” At that time I started tearing up and knew who he was referring to. The video picks up from here. BTW, on Christmas Day just prior to midnight our other daughter, Heather and her baby woke me from a deep sleep. Somehow my husband managed to get three of our four children together for the first time in many years. Kirsten lives in Pekin, Illinois, Heather lives in Pollock, La. This was, without a doubt, the best Christmas a Mother could ever ask for!
