“This was our family’s first deployment. We found out a couple days before he left that we were expecting our third child. While he was gone, we found out we were having a boy after having two girls! We were so excited to celebrate that news in person and rejoice that soon our son would be born, with Daddy HOME for the birth! Our second daughter was not quite a year old when Daddy left. We weren’t sure how she would react to having him home after only seeing his face on Skype for many months. It was a joy for our Marine to see his daughter walk for the first time, as he had missed her first steps, and she walked right to her Daddy without hesitation and did not want to let go of him! Our first born was overjoyed to welcome her Daddy home too!
What a privilege to be able to experience the incredible moment of a military homecoming.
