“This is from when I came back home after training just before my first deployment to Iraq in 2006. Ally and I met over the phone, set up by mutual friends, we talked on the phone for three months before meeting in person. This was the only the second time we had seen each other in person. I deployed two weeks later for seven months, came home and got married the following year right before my next deployment. We’ve been happily married now for over 5 years.”
