Ernestina Nunez, a school janitor, was at a low point in life after losing her Marine son to suicide. On the way to work one day, Nunez, who walks a mile to work, broke down in front of an auto repair shop saying she had nothing to live for. It had only been a year since her son, a 33-year-old marine veteran suffering from PTSD, took his own life. Richard Newberry, the owner of the repair shop, felt compelled to make a gesture out of compassion for her plight -giving her a car from his shop.
