While on deployment in Africa, USMC Major Eric Burkett’s plane crashed, leaving him with a leg amputation and knee replacement. While Major Eric, his wife Melissa and their four children dealt bravely with the crisis, their sweet English Setters, Honor and Izzy, needed a foster home. PACT for animals stepped up to make sure Honor and Izzy were well cared for during the family’s time of need.
