Logan Blood was proud of the book he made for Mother’s Day but he wouldn’t be able to give it to his mom because she was on deployment in Iraq or so he thought. It had been a year since Sergeant Cassidy Blood held her son but she wouldn’t have to wait too much longer. After receiving approval to return home at the last minute, Sgt. Blood contacted Logan’s teacher to plan a surprise they both would cherish. Thinking he was on a FaceTime call with his mom, Logan was shocked to discover she was right behind him. Although he tried to hide them, once he wrapped his arms around mom the tears came down.
