Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to wounded veterans for medical visits or to see family. For Army Specialist Steven Moore, who was blinded by a roadside IED in 2004, this meant making it home for a family member who passed away. Representative Todd Rokita, who usually makes a few flights a year for the program, donated his time and aircraft to help Specialist Moore.
