“Welcome Home Heroes Foundation along with Linda Vasquez enlisted the assistance of Stockton firefighters to surprise Sergeant Amber Broughton’s teenage daughter. Her daughter is graduating next week from high school and did not expect her mom back so early. SGT Amber Broughton has been in the Army for 14 years and just returned from her second tour of duty. She was stationed at Camp Buehring, Kuwait for a year. She is currently assigned with B Co, 640th Aviation Support Battalion. To show our appreciation, Stockton Firefighters treated the family to a dinner at Market Tavern in Stockton and gave them money to go out and entertain themselves afterwards. Without the dedication of Welcome Home Heroes Foundation, this would of never happened.
