After serving twenty-two years with the Army, Master Sergeant Tom Cruz was returning from his very last deployment. MSgt. Cruz planned for months to give his family the reunion they wouldn’t forget. He told WFTS, “I wanted to make this one special somehow for them and if this is my last deployment, then I want to make sure it’s a memorable one.” Getting the Legoland staff on board, Cruz also got a friend to help get his family there without suspicion, telling his wife Heather that they won a trip and wanted her family to come along. Little did Heather know, her family would be complete again and just in time for the Cruz’s sixth wedding anniversary.
