Veterans Charity Ride – Moto Dono program & The White Heart Foundation teamed with Jay Leno to surprise Marine Sgt. Richard Silva with a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle. Richard was injured in combat in Fallujah, Iraq in 2004 after taking grenade and mortar shrapnel to the leg after using his body to shield a fellow injured marine. Richard, an avid motorcycle rider, had to give up motorcycle riding after 20+ surgeries on his leg.
The Can-Am Spyder was donated to Veterans Charity Ride by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys.
Moto Dono, a Veteran Motorcycle Donation Program is supported by Industry Partners and the general public who donate new and used motorcycles and ATVs to Veterans Charity Ride and receive a tax deduction. VCR refurbishes and modifies (when needed) the motorcycles/atvs and gifts them to deserving veterans.
