Just before he departed on a six-month deployment to Afghanistan, Army Captain Harrison Gauthier had the last-minute idea to marry his girlfriend, Kelsea, whom he had been dating for a year and a half. Within two hours the couple had planned a wedding. Getting their family to help with flowers and a photographer they had everything including wedding bands for the what Harrison calls their ‘picture perfect 2-hour planned wedding’. At 2pm the couple had officially tied the knot and by 6:45pm Harrison was flying to Afghanistan. Even though these newlyweds started out thousands of miles apart, they couldn’t be happier to be able to share a lifetime with each other.
