Daniel O’Neal started classes at Palm Beach State College after he was medically retired from the military. With twelve years served in the Army and two tours in Iraq, it was Daniel’s first tour that left him with shrapnel in his head after a road side bomb detonated. Suffering from PTSD, the anxiety and triggering of loud noises made it difficult for Daniel to make it through the day.
But thanks to Ghost, his four-legged companion who motivated him to earn his degree, he was able to remain calm while walking across the stage at graduation. Daniel hopes to work towards earning a law degree.
