While skyping with his wife, Army Veteran Chris Dahlen was wounded in an IED accident with 78 other troops in his platoon. Dahlen was determined not to return home and leave his troops behind, so he convinced doctors to allow him to return to his unit as soon as he was well enough. His reason was simple, ‘it’s a brotherhood’ he said. Dahlen is receiving the Purple Heart six years after initially being honored with it in 2010 due to the misspelling of his name on his paperwork.
