After her son, Army Sergeant TJ Butler was killed in Afghanistan in 2012 by a suicide bomber, Leslie did the best she could to keep his memory alive. When she met 7-year-old Mason Lee, who left a special note for Sgt. Butler after placing a flag on his grave the previous year, Leslie was touched. Deeply moved by Mason’s gesture and curiosity for Sgt. Butler, she was proud to share stories and memories of him. Leslie even got him a gift as a small token of appreciation for what their family has given her.
